Say hello to the little coach!

Well, it's been a pretty crazy month for me.  As many of you already know, I recently found out I'm going to be a father!

Liz and I are both thrilled, and I look forward to sharing stories of the challenges this new member of the household will pose to our business.

It's going to be a wild ride!  Stay tuned!

Lots to share and talk about this month, including a new product (SIMB coffee mugs!) AND a new column aimed at trying to help you determine which 'business-building' ideas are actually going to help you build your business.

Enjoy!

John

Now is the Time to Try A

Better Your Best Incentive!

As you start the new quarter, you're probably thinking about how you and your downline are going to finish up the year.  One incentive that can help you all finish strong is "Better Your Best."

In a "Better Your Best" incentive, you challenge your downline to outperform their best or last (your choice) quarter by a certain percentage (for example, 50%).

By making the incentive about percentages, rather than the same dollar amount for everyone, you give everyone in your downline the opportunity to participate.  It doesn't matter if they sold $1000 or $3000 last quarter.  The incentive challenges both of them.

If you want to institute a "Better Your Best" challenge, you have to do so now.  Make your downline register for the challenge within the next week.  And require them to report their results at the end of the quarter.  This keeps them actively participating and saves you a lot of work.

Stamping Business Q&A

How Do I Get My Downline (and Myself) to Make Phone Calls?

For the last couple of years, I've been promoting the PHONE CIRCLE as a way to encourage you and your downline to make phone calls.

The phone circle works like this: invite your downline to your house (or another location).  Each person has to bring a cell phone and a call list.  Then, sit in a circle and (with everyone else watching) have each person take a turn making a call.  You should be able to get around the circle four or five times.

Having everyone else watch accomplishes several things - 1. everyone learns, 2. everyone draws inspiration from someone else's successful call, 3. everyone offers support when a call doesn't go well and 4. everyone makes calls they probably wouldn't have made otherwise!

Try it, and see what kind of results YOU get!

(If there's a question you'd like answered, or a topic you'd like me to cover,  feel free to

send me an e-mail)

Testimonials...

After your live presentation, I couldn't get to sleep.  My brain was racing!

- RS, California

Thanks for another great coaching call tonight. You put out so much good info tonight, my mind is still racing!

- KL, California

I just wanted to thank you for doing such a terrific job (coaching me)!  You know how much I dread making phone calls- I'd rather go to the dentist.  Well just now I made 2 very difficult phone calls that I have been putting off for over a year!!!  One was a customer who still hadn't paid me for an order in May of 2005!!  You gave me the confidence to be assertive and I finally got my $60 from her! Once I got those done with, I made 5 more customer service calls.  I am really excitied- I think this was a turning point for me! Thanks a ton!
