Hello
one and all,
Wow!
Is this newsletter late! It just goes to show...even
Coaches can fall behind schedule.
September
is a great time to be calling your customers. Kids are
back in school and most people's schedules are getting back to
normal. Take advantage of that this month and get on the
phone!
As
always, if I can ever be of assistance, please don't hesitate to
contact me.
Warmest
regards,
John

Hurricane
Relief
|
|
As
many of you know, New Orleans is a city near and dear to
me. My wife, Liz, and I travel there at least once
a year. In fact, we feel so connected to New
Orleans that when we were planning to get married, we
decided to have the ceremony in the middle of Jackson
Square (photo below).
Many
of your stamping companies have set up fundraisers for
hurricane relief. I would encourage you to take
advantage of them.
If,
however, you'd like to contribute in a different way, I
would also encourage you to send a donation to the
American Red Cross. They're a fantastic
organization and they need everybody's help.
If
you'd like to contribute, you can click on the Red Cross
logo above, or any of the New Orleans photos in this
newsletter. You'll be taken directly to the
American Red Cross' website, where you can make an
online contribution.
The
spirit of the people of New Orleans, and the entire Gulf
region is such that they won't be down for long. I'm
confident the area will
be rebuilt and be even better than before.
It'll
take some time, but with all of our help, it will
happen!

Four Guerrilla Marketing Tactics
|
We
all know that marketing and advertising is one of the
most important parts of your stamping business.
However, many stamping business owners simply do no have
the funds to spend on traditional advertising.
That's
where Guerrilla Marketing comes in! Guerrilla
Marketing techniques are just as effective
as ones you pay for. However, they cost you
nothing but time. Money is spent only when money
is made. It's a great way for stamping business
owners to get the word out about their
business...without spending a lot of
capital.
What
are some Guerrilla Marketing techniques? Here are
four examples:
Establish
a referral/affiliate program for your business
These
programs offer people an incentive to refer new
customers and clients to you. Then, when one of
these referrals pays you, you pay the referrer a fee
(often a gift-certificate for merchandise, so the money
comes right back to you!).
Write
and publish articles in community publications
Many
smaller magazines and newspapers have no reporting staff
and are desperate to fill space. If you pitch a
story about you and your business to the editor, you
might just find it makes it in!
Write
and publish press releases
If
you're holding an event open to anyone in the community,
write up a press release and fax/e-mail it to every
media outlet in your area. Then, get on the phone
and follow up! Many of the outlets you fax to will
run publish a line or two about the event!
Offer
a complimentary scrapbooking class
It
doesn't have to be anything fancy. It's just
something to get new potential customers to step into
your business. Make sure you get their names for
your mailing list. Once you do that, you can begin
promoting all of your paid classes, as well.

Real-Life Lessons Every Entrepreneur Should Know About
Building A
Multimillion Dollar Business
by
Robert
Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter
Anyone who has ever coached with me
knows I'm a big fan of Robert Kiyosaki. I
recommend his books to most of my clients for one reason
or another.
His newest book is full of case studies
intended to help educate you about starting and running
your own business. Through ten personal stories
about failed businesses he started, Kiyosaki attempts to
help you avoid the mistakes he made.
There's a lot of information in here you
may know already, but it's always beneficial to review
it again.

Business Q&A
I
Just Recruited A Bunch of New People! What Do I Do
Now?
|
Many of
you have had a very successful month of
recruiting. So now what do you do to make your new
downline as productive as possible?
Studies
have shown that downline are less likely to drop if they
have a downline of their own. So, help your
downline recruit their first downline!
Help them
make a list of everyone they know, and if possible, be
with them when they call.
Go over
the recruiting process with them, and let them know what
to expect.
The sooner
they have their first recruit, the sooner YOU have a
long-term downline!
(If
there's a question you'd like answered, feel free
to
send
me an e-mail)

was great. Thanks for making me look at my business in a different
way.
- MW,

Your
service is INVALUABLE. I have seen an increase in sales, recruiting
and organization with only 3 months of coaching
and I have recommended your book and coaching at my last 2 unit meetings.
I know that a great deal of my success is because of my commitment to
follow-thru on what you give me
- SH,

Your CD
hasn't come out of the player in the car. I've listened to it
everywhere I've been!
