Dear friends,
Finally!
September is here and the summer is over! If you have
school-age children, you probably feel like your life is
returning to normal. And if you don't have children, your
customers and hostesses probably do, and their lives are getting
back to normal.
Now
is the time to pick up the phone and call them! Book those
holiday workshops and classes. Fill up your schedule now,
and you'll have a very happy holiday season.
I'll
be traveling around the country over the next several weeks, so
maybe I'll have the opportunity to see you in person soon!
If you're in or around Calgary, Alberta, or Raleigh, North
Carolina, don't miss the item below
about my upcoming public appearances.
Enjoy
this month's newsletter.
Warmest
regards and much success,
John

Why
People Say 'YES' To Running Their
Own Stamping Business
|
 |
|
When
I speak with my clients about recruiting new downlines,
many of them are quick to point out why they think
people will say 'no' to the opportunity. Whenever
I hear that kind of negative thinking, I try to help
them shift to a more positive perspective.
Forget
about why people say 'no.' You should always
remind yourself why people say 'YES!'
Here
are a few of the reasons:
1.
People want to get away from the 'traditional' business
model 9
to 5 doesn't work for a lot of people anymore.
There are lots of two-income families who are having
trouble making ends meet...even though they spend so
much time working, the family is lucky if they spend an
hour or two per night together. Having
your own stamping business means you can, in large part,
set your own hours. It means you can set aside
quality time with your family...AND still make enough
money to make ends meet. 2.
People want to be rewarded for their work When
you work for someone else's business, you're at their
mercy. You might get a raise...or you might
not. Often, the choice is so much dependent on how
well you perform your job, as much as who's making the
decision. And if the business had a bad year,
you're not getting a raise no matter what.
Having
your own stamping business means there's a direct
relationship between the amount of work you put into it
and the amount of money you get back. The harder
you work, the richer the reward.
3.
People want the kind of freedom that success brings Even
if you're incredibly successful working at a company or
corporation, you're probably also married to your
job. Most very successful corporate businesswomen
and men work 50, 60, even 70 hours per week. Having
a successful stamping business means you can walk away
(take a vacation, some personal time, etc.) and the
business still runs in your absence. You have the
freedom to do what you want, when you want. You
don't have to ask anyone when you can take your
vacations...or whether you can take time off because you
have to do something with your family. It's all up
to you!

You
Don't Have To Be An Attack Dog To Be Successful In Sales
by
Blair
Singer
This book, part of Robert Kiyosaki's
'Rich Dad Advisors' series. Singer talks about
selling with integrity. He explains why pushy,
overbearing selling techniques will never yield as much
success as building relationships with you clients and
customers.
If you hate to pick up the phone, or you
worry about how you're going to be perceived, this could
be a very revealing book for you.

Testimonials... |
|
I really enjoyed your speech at Fall
Fest. You have opened my eyes to a lot of things. I've
always wanted to be one of those ladies
that walks across the stage
to receive my reward... I've always thought
that I would love to do this, but in the back of my mind I'm
always saying that it will never happen
to me. That thought changed
yesterday during your speech. I look forward to working with you in the
future. Thanks for inspiring!!!!!
- LW, Connecticut
I
listened to your CD three times now and thank you so very
much! I like your straightforward approach. It has
been very helpful. In fact, life changing.
