Dear friends,
If
my runny nose and watery eyes are any indication, Spring has
finally sprung. This is a great time to build your
stamping business. Schedules are changing. Some of
your prospects will find themselves with extra time on their
hands. Now is the time to speak with them about starting
their own stamping business.
For
many of you, your business year is coming to an end. You
only have a few more months to boost your sales and recruiting
numbers. The extra effort now may help you reap fantastic
rewards in a few months. If I can be of any help to you,
please don't hesitate to contact me. In the meantime,
enjoy this month's newsletter.
Warmest
regards and much success,
John

The
Top Five Mistakes
Stamping
Business Owners Make
|
 |
|
We
all make mistakes. Every day, there's a new one to
make. Some are big, some are small. However,
there are a few mistakes we make consistently...day
after day...that can really hurt your stamping
business. In no particular order, here are the Top
5:
1.
Saying 'No' for someone else How
many times have you talked yourself out of speaking to
somebody about your business? Maybe you thought
they were going to say no or think you were being
pushy? Not speaking to someone because you think
they're going to say no creates a self-fulfilling
prophecy. You're guaranteeing a negative response. 2.
No or Slow Follow Up It's
important to establish credibility with your customers,
downlines and prospects fast! Nothing does that
like being on top of follow up and delivering on
promises that you make as quickly as possible.
Nothing hurts your credibility more than failing to do
that.
3.
Not Knowing Your Numbers If
I ask you how much money you make and spend on your
stamping business every month, can you answer me?
It's very important to know your numbers. If you
don't, how do you know if you're making a profit?
Or if your money can be better spent in another
area? Being a responsible business owner means
knowing your finances...even if the picture isn't
pretty.
4.
Not Taking Every Opportunity to Talk About Your Business The
road of life is littered with missed
opportunities. Talk about your business every
chance you get. Each time you decide not to, you
could be missing out on a potential customer or
downline. It's like throwing money away.
5.
No Business Plan You
need to have a Business Plan. A good BP will help
you set goals, establish a foundation for your business,
and give you a structure and roadmap to operate on a
day-to-day basis. You'll have a much better
understanding of your business and whether or not you're
moving forward. If you don't have a BP, put one
together now. There's a BP created especially for
stamping business owners in the book, "Stamping Is
My Business!"

Dream
Impressions Update
|
|
I
received a few angry e-mails for my item in last month's
newsletter about Dream Impressions going out of the
Direct Sales/Home Party business. They questioned
the validity and accuracy of my information. As
much as I wish I was wrong, it looks like my information
was correct.
Grapevine
says DI should be making an announcement sometime this
month about the future of the company. In all
likelihood, they will continue to offer product directly
to customers, through an online catalog and
website. I promise to keep you posted as events
continue to develop.
