Hello
one and all,
Happy
New Year! What a fantastic month July is! The slate
is wiped clean and everything starts from scratch! Now is
the perfect time to think about your goals - what you want to
accomplish this fiscal year - and start working toward
them. Remember, the sooner you start, the more likely
you'll reach your goals by next June 30th.
I'm
proud to be rolling out a new product this month to help you
with that - the Stamping Is My Business! Screensaver. It's
only available to mailing list members now, and I'll release it
to web site visitors soon. You can read more about it
below.
Also,
to help you reach your goals in the new fiscal year, you'll find
a couple of items in this newsletter geared to starting your
year off right!
In
the meantime, if there's anything I can do to help you make this
year a successful one, please feel free to contact me.
Warmest
regards,
John

Announcing...
The
Stamping Is My Business! Screensaver
|
|
I'm
very happy to announce our latest product to help you
run a successful stamping business:
This
screensaver contains 50 separate quotes, from the famous
and not-so-famous, to help encourage you to grow your
business to its maximum potential!
The
screensaver starts if you haven't used your computer for
a certain period of time. Then, every
20 seconds, a new quote appears on your screen.
The screensaver stops as soon as you begin to use your
computer again.
However,
unlike flying toasters and swimming fish (which
mesmerize you and contribute to your lack of
productivity), this screensaver motivates you to get
back to work and build your business!
You
can download the screensaver right to your computer, or
have a CD-ROM shipped to you. The price?
Just $9.99.

Three
Ways to Start
the New Fiscal Year Off STRONG!
|
|
Want
to hit the ground running? Did you struggle to
make your goals this year? Here are four things
you can do to come out swinging!
1.
Call all of your customers
The
new catalog is out! Make sure everyone knows about
it. Don't depend on e-mail to do the job.
Get on the phone!
2.
Talk about the business!
There's
a lot of good buzz this time of year. Capitalize
on it by letting people know they can have their own
stamping business, too. Remember, they're not
going to come to you!
3.
Start scrapbooking!
Scrapbooking
has never been more popular. Incorporating it into
your business (through classes and workshops) will allow
you to reach an audience that might not be as interested
in stamping cards.

2006
Live Presentations
|
We're
now taking bookings for live presentations for 2006!
The
calendar for 2005 is FULL! And 2006 is beginning
to book up!
SIMB
presentations are designed to inform, motivate and
inspire your downline or group to define their goals and
build their business.
Unlike
many other speakers, however, SIMB presentations are designed
exclusively for stamping professionals - not the
entire direct sales industry. John understands the
unique challenges stamping business owners face,
and is able to address them specifically.
We
also understand the financial difficulties stamping
business owners face and have priced these presentations
accordingly.
John
will share concrete steps everyone can take to make
their business a success - whether they just want a
self-supporting hobby, or a full-fledged stamping
business!
If
you're in charge of planning events for your downline or
group, we'd love to speak with you about our live
presentations, including our brand-new Systems 101
presentation!
For
more information about booking John for an
appearance in front of your group, send
us an e-mail, or select

How
To Say It for Women - Communicating
with Confidence and Power Using the Language of Success
by
Phyllis
Mindel
Many stamping business owners have
trouble finding the right words to express themselves
effectively.
Asking someone if they're interested in
the business or booking a workshop, speaking to a
customer about an order, or working with your
downline...each of these situations may make you less
than comfortable.
To help solve that problem, this book
provides many examples of what to say and what NOT to
say to be as efficient with your words as
possible. Among other things, you'll learn how to
make your point without being pushy. and how to
say no without anybody feeling bad about it.
"How To Say It for Women"
doesn't put words in your mouth, but it helps you feel
more confident about the ones coming out!

Stamping
Business Q&A
How
Can I Make the Switch from Hobbyist to Stamping Business Owner?
|
This is
the time of year many hobby stampers decide they would
like turn their love of stamping into a business.
The question is: How do you do that? Here
are a couple of good first steps:
1. Create
a Business Plan. Most businesses fail because they
don't have a plan. Having a Business Plan is like
having a roadmap to your goals.
2. Buy
like a business owner. If you owned a retail
store, you would never stock your shelves with product
that doesn't sell. So...don't buy stamping product
you can't sell.
3. Get on
the phone. Be proactive and reach out to your
customers to make sure their needs are being
met...rather than waiting for them to call you.
4. Keep
track of your finances. You need to know how much
you're making and how much you're spending. If you
don't, know where your money is going, how can you fix
the things that need to be fixed? These
are just the first steps. There are more, but if
you can accomplish these four, you're well on your way!

Testimonials... |
I'm
just finishing up my 1st month (of coaching) and already I am SOLD! My business has a new focus, I have already put things into
practice that John has talked about on the calls and I'm LOVING where this is all
going for me!
- EM,
Vermont
I
crossed over $40000 this year and recruited 16 people. Thanks for
reminding me to ask for the business!
- AC,
California
There
were a lot of great things (in the
book) to do to promote "the
business," and after reading, I have definitely decided to not
be a "hobby demo" anymore. I didn't realize the true
potential of making a successful business!
