Hello
one and all,
Happy
New Year! This is a great time to set your goals, look at
the things in your business you'd like to change, and actually
change them! It's also a great time of year to raise your
prices to make sure you're getting paid what you should be
getting paid.
And
as you go through your new catalogs and put together your wish
lists...remember...buy like a business owner!
Warmest
regards,
John

Four
Ways to
Start
the Fiscal Year Off Strong!
|
Want
to hit the ground running? Did you struggle to
make your goals this year? Here are four things
you can do to come out swinging!
1.
Give out those catalogs
See
the sidebar for more info.
2.
Call all of your customers
The
new catalog is out! Make sure everyone knows about
it. Don't depend on e-mail to do the job.
Get on the phone!
3.
Talk about the business!
There's
a lot of good buzz this time of year. Capitalize
on it by letting people know they can have their own
stamping business, too. Remember, they're not
going to come to you!
4.
Start scrapbooking!
Scrapbooking
has never been more popular. Incorporating it into
your business (through classes and workshops) will allow
you to reach an audience that might not be as interested
in stamping cards.

2006
Is Full!
Now
booking Live Presentations for 2007!
|
We're
happy to report that there are no more available
weekends for Live Presentations in 2006.
We
are now taking bookings for all of 2007!
Available
presentations include:
All
SIMB presentations are designed to inform, motivate and
inspire your downline or group to define their goals and
build their business.
Unlike
many other speakers, however, SIMB presentations are designed
exclusively for stamping professionals - not the
entire direct sales industry. John understands the
unique challenges stamping business owners face,
and is able to address them specifically.
We
also understand the financial difficulties stamping
business owners face and have priced these presentations
accordingly.
John
will share concrete steps everyone can take to make
their business a success - whether they just want a
self-supporting hobby, or a full-fledged stamping
business!

front of your group, send

Organizing
Your Craft Space
by
Jo
Packham
One
of the biggest problems my clients have is
organization. Where do I put this? Should I
even keep that?
This
book offers several ideas for organizing your craft
space based on the craft you do. There are
sections in the book for both rubber stamping and
scrapbooking.
You
probably won't copy the ideas outright, but you be able
to incorporate some of the ideas into your existing
space.

Stamping
Business Q&A
Should
I Give Away the Catalog?
Many
of you are charging your customers full price for your
catalog, or making them book a workshop or buy a minimum
amount of product before you hand one over. I
believe this is totally counter- productive to doing
business.
As
consumers, we have been trained to expect catalogs for
free. Think about it... how many catalogs did YOU
receive in the mail this month? How many catalogs
have YOU paid for recently? How many of your
customers are not buying from you simply because they
don't have a catalog and refuse to pay for it?
Very
simply, sales is a numbers game, and the more people who
have your product line in their hands, the more people
will buy your products.
If
you give a catalog to each of your customers, tell them
you're going to follow up with them by phone in the next
few days, and then do it, not only will you make more
sales, but, even with the cost of the catalogs factored
in, you'll make more profit, as well.
The
catalogs are simply a cost of doing business, and not an
expense you should pass on to your customers.
(If
there's a question you'd like answered, or a topic you'd
like me to cover, feel free
to
send
me an e-mail)

Testimonials... |
You
are the Dr. Phil of stamping. He totally makes sense and
what he says seems so obvious and yet it still manages to smack you upside
the head like, "Why didn't I think of that??!!" And you do
that for me with my stamping business. Everything you talk about makes
total sense and it is such solid business.
- MI,
Illinois
Since I
saw your live presentation, my sales
have doubled!
- CF,
Alabama
I used
the Referral Program from the 'How to
Sell $400/month' CD and it worked! I plan to use this referral
system at every workshop I do and have my customers bring me new
customers. Thanks, John, for your advice.
- GM,
Missouri
