Dear
Friends and Colleagues,
November
is here! This is a very challenging time for stamping
business owners. How do you keep your customers' attention
focused on your business when there are so many other things
distracting them?
Having
the right answer to this question is important, because failing
to keep your customers' attention can dramatically and
negatively impact your sales.
The
answer, in a nutshell, is to start now! If you have
December events, start promoting them now. If you want to
make sales or recruit in December, start asking for them
now. You need a longer lead time this time of year.
If you wait, it may be too late!
And
yes, that is a Yoda costume! We had a very fun Halloween!
As
always, if I can ever be of any assistance, please don't
hesitate to get in touch.
Warmest
regards,
John

What
Sets You Apart From Your Competition?
|
I've
heard from several stamping business owners this week
expressing concern about their customers receiving
promotional material that highlights or comes from other
stamping business owners. The question is... can
you do anything about it?
Well,
can you keep your customers away from your competition
or prevent your competition from marketing to your
customers? No.
However,
you CAN do things to keep your customers loyal when they
receive these solicitations.
Know
what it is that sets you apart from your competition!
What
do you do for your customers that others don't?
What do you do for your hostesses? For your
downline?
You
may know the answers to those questions. You may
also assume that your customers, hostesses and
downline know, but until you write it down and
share it with those groups, you can never be sure.
So, write it down and share it!
That
way, the next time they receive solicitations from, or
pointing them to, your competition, they may say to
themselves, "well, sure this class is less
expensive, but my demo/consultant does A, B & C for
me."
A
little education goes a long way!

Come
See John THIS WEEKEND in Chicago!
|
"John
is the BEST business speaker in our profession!"
- Glenda Travelstead
My
last public appearance of 2007 takes place this weekend
in the Chicago area.
On
Friday, November 9th, I'll be presenting my Marketing
& Recruiting Workshop.
On
Saturday, November 10th, I'll be presenting The Five
Steps to a Successful, Home-based Stamping Business.
There
are still a handful of seats available. If you're
interested in attending, please e-mail
me for more information.
Also,
we are now
booking dates for the 2008 (and the first half is
starting to fill up).
All
SIMB presentations are designed to inform, motivate and
inspire your downline or group to define their goals and
build their business.
Unlike
many other speakers, however, SIMB presentations are designed
exclusively for stamping professionals - not the
entire direct sales industry. John understands the
unique challenges stamping business owners face,
and is able to address them specifically.
We
also understand the financial difficulties stamping
business owners face and have priced these presentations
accordingly.
John
will share concrete steps everyone can take to make
their business a success - whether they just want a
self-supporting hobby, or a full-fledged stamping
business!
If
you would like more information about booking John for an appearance in
front of your group, send
us an e-mail, or select
here for more information.

7 Choices For Blowing The Doors Off Business-As-Usual
by
Kevin
and Jackie Freiberg
Business as usual tends to cause stagnation.
Because the world around business is always changing,
businesses have to change, as well.
The
Freibergs sum up this challenge in 7 Choices.
Choices you make, consciously or subconsciously, which
set you on a particular path. In other words, your
business' fate is up to you. If you make the right
choices, you'll soar. If not, you'll
crash.
Definitely
an eye-opening book.

Stamping
Business Q&A
Does
My Business Need To Be On The Internet?
There's
no definitive answer to this question. Your
stamping business is yours to run as you see fit.
However, I truly believe that ANY business in the 21st
century needs to have a strong internet component to
remain competitive.
Why?
Because that's where your customers are going.
This time of year, every year, we read about how more
and more people are doing their holiday shopping on the
internet. Online shopping numbers rise, while
brick and mortar shopping numbers fall. This is a
trend that isn't going to stop.
As
business owners, you have to know where your customers
are and get your businesses in front of them. If
more and more of your customers are spending more time
(and money) on the internet, then you should be there,
too.
That
doesn't mean you have to completely overhaul your
business. Just make small adjustments to
incorporate the new elements that your customers are
using.
Whatever
you do, make sure that you're not steadfastly refusing
to change.
I
can't remember who said it, but "a business that
refuses to change gets trampled by the march of
time."
(If
there's a question you'd like answered, or a topic you'd
like me to cover, feel free
to
send
me an e-mail)

Testimonials... |
Without
you, I would not have launched my SU business!
-
CP, Saskatchewan
I
don't know why (my company) is using a keynote speaker who works with
corporate officers, instead of you, who works with US!
-
MS, Michigan
The
amount of information you give us is amazing. I have dealt with coaches in
another arena before and the content was only “fluff” repeated over
and over again. Your conf calls are to the point and jam-packed with
valuable info.
-
CC, Quebec
You
are awesome... you are honest, direct and tell it the way it is, and I
believe if we incorporate the information you have shared with us, we will
all do very well.
-
KE, Alberta
You
really have changed the paradigm through which I view my business.
