Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It's officially Summer, and for many of you, that means you might not be working your business quite as much as you do other times of the year.

 

While this is understandable, it's also important to realize you could be leaving a lot of money on the table! 

 

July and August are the months when your customers are most excited about the new catalog.  Once September rolls around, and they're looking at holiday product, the focus tends to shift away from the main catalog.

 

There's a window of opportunity open for you this summer... if you're willing to take advantage of it.  Try to work your business as much as you can, and DON'T leave that money on the table!

Is It Time To Make Changes In Your Business?

 

For many of you, its a new year.  That means, its an excellent time to assess your business and decide if you need to make any changes.

 

Take a look at the past year and ask yourself the following questions:

 

 - What type of events were the most productive in terms of sales and profit?

 

 - What types of events were the least productive?
 

 - Was there something I did that was really popular the year before, but not so popular last year?

 

 - Did my customers hear from me as often as they should have last year?

 

 - Did I speak with enough people about the business opportunity last year?

 

If you can be brutally honest when you answer these questions, you'll gain some real clarity when you're trying to determine what adjustments you need to make now. 

You'll know what types of events you can eliminate and you'll see where you need to re-focus your efforts.

The Power of Writing Down Your Goals

 

Goal SettingI think just about everyone knows how important it is to know your goals.  What you want to accomplish with your business and why.

 

But do you have those goals written down and prominently displayed?

 

 

If not, you're missing out on a real asset in the world of goal-setting!

 

Writing down a goal makes it real.  And displaying that goal where you, and anyone else, can see it, creates a whole new layer of motivation and accountability.

 

So, if you haven't done so already, take out a big piece of paper and write down your goal.  Then, display it somewhere nearby so you can take a look at it whenever your feel your focus wavering.  Make sure its in a place where everyone else can see it, too, so they know you're serious about making your stamping business as successful as it can be.

If you're used to listening to me talk about time management, there isn't going to be much in this book that will surprise you.  Allen is big on maximizing your time by building structure within your business, as well as learning how to prioritize.  As am I.

Sometimes, though, its good to hear the same advice from different sources.  So, if you feel like you can use a little help getting a handle on your organization, this might be a book that can help 'get it done.'

My Husband Just Lost His Job and I Need My Stamping Business to Generate Some Revenue Fast.  How Do I Make That Happen?

 

Get on the phone!

 

Seriously, the best way for you to make some immediate revenue is to get on the phone and actively reach out to your customers.

 

Set a goal of 10 or 20 customer calls per day. 

 

Imagine if you made 300, 400, 500 calls per month.  Compare that to the number of calls you're making now. 

 

How much more business do you think you would bring in? 

 

Plenty!

 

Simply put, nothing you do in your business is going to bring about a greater return on investment (ROI) than making customer phone calls.

 

So, take advantage of that fact, get on the phone and start generating the revenue you need.
