Dear Friends,

IS SOCIAL NETWORKING A FAD?

BEFORE YOU DECIDE, WATCH THIS VIDEO...

THE LANDSCAPE IS CHANGING...

In 2009, Nielsen release a report which showed that social networking is now more popular than e-mail

A few months ago, Hitwise reported that Facebook visits worldwide increased 194% in the past year!  In the United States, over 60% of all internet users are on Facebook!

24 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute!

And, Twitter has surpassed 58 million users!

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?  AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?

This means, more people are using social networks to communicate with each other than they are using their e-mail accounts

This represents a seismic shift in how people are utilizing the internet, and if you're not utilizing social networking to promote your business, you're missing out on an incredible opportunity and putting yourself at a competitive disadvantage!

SOCIAL NETWORKING IN 2010

IS VERY MUCH LIKE BLOGGING WAS IN 2006

Back then, some stamping business owners were starting to use blogs as a marketing tool, but most of them were using it incorrectly or, at the very least, not to its fullest.  The people who took the time to learn how to utilize their blogs as a proper business tool were able to gain a competitive advantage for their business while everyone else was playing catch-up.

Today, social networking is in a very similar position.  Many stamping business owners are starting to use these tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), but, again, not in the best way possible to promote their business.

PLUS... the social networking landscape changes must faster than blogging ever did.

LOOK HOW MUCH HAS CHANGED IN JUST THE LAST SIX MONTHS!!!

In the last six months, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have all made major changes to their user experience... changing the way business owners have to interact with potential customers on those platforms!

AND, sites like Squidoo, Foursquare and Gruopon have come on the scene, offering business owners all new opportunities for attracting new customers... ESPECIALLY LOCAL CUSTOMERS!

YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO GET IN AT THE GROUND FLOOR!

Right now, you have a unique opportunity to learn how to utilize these tools correctly and effectively, BEFORE most everyone else, so that you can be a leader in this new communication medium... NOT a follower

In other words, you have a chance to let everyone else play catch-up with YOU!

To assist you in gaining that position, I'm pleased to announce the Social Networking Boot Camp!  The Boot Camp will take place over four Tuesdays - May 18th thru June 8th - at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.  (If you can't make the live calls, don't worry.  You'll have access to the recordings thru September 1st, 2010!)

Each week, we'll go over a different social networking site, and you'll learn, step-by-step, how to establish and maintain a proper business presence on that site!

At the end of the Boot Camp, we'll show you how to tie all of these "micro-sites" together into an overall social media strategy!

Think about how many people you can reach:

  • Facebook: 400,000,000 ACTIVE users!

  • Twitter:     58,000,000 users!

  • YouTube:  Over 150,000,000 registered users (and who knows how many unregistered)!

Think about it... if you utilize the three sites above correctly, you can expose your business to a potential audience of hundreds of millions of people... for FREE!

And that's just those three.  We'll actually cover more during the Boot Camp!

Here's a rundown of just some of the things we're going to cover:

  • How to establish a proper business micro-site on Facebook

  • How NOT to establish your business on Facebook

  • How to keep your customers and Friends separate

  • How the recent Facebook changes can best benefit your business

  • What to include on your micro-site... and what to leave off

  • How to promote your micro-site on and off Facebook

  • The best (and worst) add-ons for your micro-site

  • What is FBML and how to use it to customize just about every aspect of your micro-site

  • ...and more!

  • How to customize your Twitter BUSINESS micro-site

  • How to get "Followers"

  • How to keep undesirable "Followers" away

  • Who you should be following

  • What are "Lists" and how do you use them to your advantage?

  • How to send messages on Twitter (known as a "Tweet")

  • How often should you "Tweet"

  • What should your "Tweets" say?

  • What should they never say?

  • What are the most and least effective types of Tweets?

  • The best widgets for Twitter utilization

  • ...and more!

  • How to set up a YouTube micro-site

  • What to include on your micro-site

  • How to optimize and ping your micro-site

  • What you should never allow on your YouTube site

  • How to customize your micro-site

  • How to develop categories and playlists for your videos

  • How to promote your site (and your business) on and off YouTube

  • How to embed your entire micro-site on your personal website or blog

  • What types of videos are most effective?

  • Technical aspects of video production to consider

  • How to use YouTube Annotations to generate more traffic and conversions

  • ...and more!

Now that Google has started to index some of these sites, and go a little social networking on their own, we'll also look at:

  • Search Engine Optimization on Facebook
  • Search Engine Optimization on Twitter
  • Search Engine Optimization on YouTube
  • How To Use Google to attract LOCAL CUSTOMERS

Last, but certainly not least, we'll take a look at these other sites.  They're relatively new players, but each on of them allows you to generate a great deal of attention, and build your national AND LOCAL profile!

Finally... we'll discuss how to combine all of these micro-sites, as well as your blog (if you have one) into

ONE GIANT SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY!

TESTIMONIAL

This is only the third Social Networking Boot Camp we've held.  Here's what Heather Hildebrant, SU Demonstrator and graduate of our inaugural Boot Camp, has to say:

"If you guys are on the fence about taking this bootcamp - jump down and sign up! Seriously, this was the best bootcamp ever! I have people following my Tweets and add new fans to my Facebook page every week. There is no way I could've figured this out on my own and I consider myself very techno-geeky. The great thing is that John spells it out so anyone can do it.

The calls will take place over four Tuesdays, May 18th thru June 8th, at 10:00 p.m. eastern.

In addition to the four weekly calls, Boot Camp members will also receive:

  • Access to the recordings of all four calls (you will have access to these calls thru September 1st, 2010!)

  • Access to the password-protected Boot Camp Blog, which will contain additional information, resources and articles to help you

  • Step-by-Step Video Tutorials to help you get through the most difficult parts of the various site setups and implementations (see below).

AND, OF COURSE - STEP-BY-STEP VIDEO TUTORIALS

These tutorials will walk you through most of the more complicated aspects of setting up and maintaining your presence on the various sites.  You'll be able to see, step-by-step, exactly what to do.  This aid is a tremendous benefit for those of you who are more "visual" learners, or for those of you who feel you can pick it up faster if you watch someone else do it.

When this Boot Camp is over, you're going to have all of the information you need to market your business via social networking.  You'll have all of the tools necessary to gain a competitive advantage and get out in front of the millions of potential customers and downline before almost anyone else!

So, how much does the Boot Camp cost?  Just $59.99!  Is this a fair price to pay for all of the information listed above (and more)?  I think so.  I hope you do, too.

Think about it this way, if you gain just one new customer from what you learn here, then the Boot Camp pays for itself.  Frankly, I think it will pay for itself many, many times over!
